The size and flexibility of Copdock Hall’s barns, courtyard and grounds make it an obvious choice for a range of events, from product launches and corporate parties to charity balls, social functions and milestone birthdays and family events.
Private and corporate events can enjoy exclusive use of all facilities, and we offer a choice of venue hire or packages, giving you the flexibility to make all your own arrangements, or leave all the planning, event preparation and catering to us.
The barns and courtyard offer flexible space for up to 350 guests, and you and your guests will be able to enjoy the grounds and our award-winning vineyard throughout the day.
Guest accommodation before or after your event is available in 8 luxury ensuite rooms within the farmhouse. There are numerous hotels within 3-5 miles for additional guests and we are just over an hour from London by train.
Our Spaces and Facilities
The Grade II Elizabethan barn is 36.5 metres long and 6.75 metres wide and comfortably accommodates up to 200 guests on 20 round tables or up to 350 guests for an informal event. It can be set up to suit smaller groups using aesthetically designed living walls. Underfloor heating ensures visitors are comfortable year round and natural light floods in through glass doors and panels.
The adjoining room can be used for smaller meetings or to serve as a breakout room, green room, quiet room or cloakroom.
Audio visual equipment is all included and includes a standard AV system, free Wi-Fi, roving microphone, projector, and large screen.
Step-free access through wide barn doors makes setting up and taking down simple, and ensures easy access for those with wheelchairs or buggies.
Social Events and Parties
Milestone birthdays, christenings, Bar Mitzvahs and celebrations of life all deserve a special place where family and friends can gather together to celebrate, and we feel there is nowhere better than Copdock Hall. There is ample space within either of the barns for family and friends to all be together, and flexible spaces for additional activities to take place within the courtyard and grounds.
School Proms, Charity Balls and other large events appreciate the scale of our cathedral-like Elizabethan barn with integral bar area. Our location is within easy reach of Ipswich but is sufficiently secluded to offer security and privacy for your event.
A choice of packages or venue hire, give you complete flexibility to do as little or as much of the organisation and preparation as you like. As we are primarily an exclusive use wedding venue, we have all the furniture, equipment and decorations you might need, along with recommended caterers, DJ and entertainment options.
Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
At Copdock Hall we work hard to look after the planet. We have an A Rated energy certificate so are almost carbon neutral.
The barn has a Biomass boiler and underfloor heating to ensure it remains comfortable year round with minimal carbon impact.
We mix formal planting with natural hedgerows and re-wilded meadows to ensure local biodiversity.
We encourage those booking Copdock Hall to use local suppliers, choose locally sourced menus and we can even supply wine from our own vineyard.
We are proud to be working towards B Corp certification and are committed to making a positive impact on society and the environment.

Yes, we are an exclusive use venue so you’ll have access to the courtyard, both barns, the gardens, car parks and vineyard to set up and use as you wish.
The commercial kitchens and farmhouse accommodation are available at an additional charge if required.

Yes, it’s a great space for Christmas parties as we have space for up to 200 seated guests, and a large car park close to the barn.
We offer packages and venue hire for exclusive use bookings, and joiner dates for smaller groups.

Copdock Hall is primarily an exclusive use wedding venue so is also well suited for important family events such as milestone birthdays, christenings, bar mitzvahs, wakes and celebrations of life. We also host corporate parties and some school proms. We reserve the right to turn away unsuitable bookings.

Yes, a staffed bar is available at no additional cost for all venue bookings. Our prices are comparable with local pub prices, but if you’d prefer to supply your own drinks there is no corkage charge for daytime events.
For the ultimate in sustainable events, you may want to serve Copdock Hall’s award winning rose.

Yes, subject to appropriate insurance. We regularly host wedding fairs, Christmas fetes and craft exhibitions as well as product launches.
